KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police say that the second man captured since the start of operations to recapture Dwight Henry, the escapee accused of killing two American missionaries last year, was wanted for the February 2015 murder of Damion Ewen in Old Harbour, St Catherine.
The police have however not released the identity of the man.
The man was reportedly captured by the St Mary police in the Oracabessa area of the parish about 4:00 pm on Friday.
Jason Beadle, 32, who escaped from the Santa Cruz lock-up on June 23 last year, was also recaptured on Friday during intensified operations as police search for Henry.
Beadle, otherwise called ‘Goat’, of Path district in St Elizabeth, was charged with murder.
The police say intensified operations for the recapture of Henry, who escaped custody on January 4, are continuing.
Henry escaped from a hospital in St Mary. He was charged, along with Andre Thomas of Port Maria, in connection with the missionaries’ murders
The two missionaries were reportedly last seen alive when they left Tower Isle on motorcycles about 8:00 am on April 30. Reports from the St Mary police were that the two men rented motorcycles in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and went on a trail in the Albion Mountain area. Their bodies were later found in Wentworth district.
