Lymit releases Glory Road riddim
ST Catherine-based singjay Lymit has added producer and label owner to his r é sum é . His Yaad Gang Records is responsible for the Glory Road rhythm, which was released earlier this week.
Glory Road features songs including So Bless (Kalado), Deh Deh (Lan Deezl), Best Mummy (Navino), Eagle Vision (Specialist), Light It (Rhogue) and Real Friends by himself.
The 24-year-old, whose real name is Deshawn Daley, is from Horizon Park. He spoke about his song which is featured on the rhythm project.
“Real Friends speaks about an inner-city youth, who goes from poverty to riches with his friends who have stood by him throughout his journey,” he explained.
Like most newcomers, Lymit has experienced the ups and downs of the music industry. He bemoans the lack of opportunities for non-established acts.
“A nuff producer mi come cross and not one willing to give mi a chance as a young engineer, so mi decided to work and build my own studio,” he said.
He said he is ready to work with newcomers as well as established artistes.
“My studio door is always open to young and upcoming talent as well as any major artiste. So, I’m willing to work with anyone,” he said.
