D-Lexx going for gold
FAST-RISING deejay D-Lexx feels he will get the attention he deserves with his single The Gold.
“The song is getting good feedback, especially in the Cayman Islands… I have other songs out right now, but I’m pushing
The Gold because mi feel seh it can work,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Released in August 2016, The Gold is produced by Money Maker/Emudio Records.
According to D-Lexx, the song speaks to a determined spirit to do well and be successful. He contends anyone can relate to that.
“It’s the same, cause the new artistes nah get enough airplay – nah get airplay overall. For this year, I’d like to see a difference and get more airplay. I’m a young and upcoming artiste and without airplay it’s hard so I’d like the selectors to push the younger artistes so that we can eat some food too. We’re all just trying to hunt the gold,” he said.
D-Lexx, whose given name is Shamari Dennis, has been recording for music for over five years.
His other singles include Forgiveness and Real Friends.
