64-y-o taxi driver murdered in Falmouth
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — A taxi operator was last night shot dead along the Wiltshire main road in Falmouth, Trelawny by two men posing as passengers.
Dead is 64-year-old Fitz-Liser Boothe from the Long Pond Housing Scheme in the parish.
Police say that Boothe was killed about 8:34 pm after one of the two men who boarded the vehicle, reportedly asked for a stop on reaching a section of the main road. After exiting, the second man opened fire hitting the driver.
The two men escaped.
Police say Boothe attempted to drive away but lost control of the vehicle which hit a column. He was subsequently taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
