Man faces court on sex charges after two years on run
After being on the run for almost two years, a 37-year-old Islington, St Mary, resident was arrested and charged with three counts of rape yesterday.
Renaldo Reynolds eluded police officers in 2015 after a report was filed against him for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on three separate occasions in 2013, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said in a news release yesterday that Reynolds fled Islington and was allegedly residing in Kingston.
Following investigations, CCU said police officers carried out an operation in Three Hills, Retreat, St Mary, about 4:00 am, during which Reynolds was held.
He is scheduled to appear before the St Mary Parish Court on Tuesday, February 21.
