Droop Lion puts twist on classic
Roots singer Droop Lion puts a reggae spin on a rock classic by covering Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Have You Ever Seen The Rain.
The song will be released on March 15 by Free People Entertainment. It is from Droop Lion’s upcoming album,
Ideologies.
“This is truly a big song and has been one of my favourites from the very first time that I heard it,” said Droop Lion. “For me to do a cover of
Have You Ever Seen The Rain is an honour and pleasure. It is one of those songs that pose a powerful question and, in fact, it is more about life than it is about the weather.”
Have You Ever Seen The Rain was written by John Fogerty, leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, a northern California band. Released in 1971, the original version was a strike against the Vietnam War.
Droop Lion (real name Andrew Brown) is also lead singer of veteran roots band, The Gladiators.
