Straths hunt lead in Westmoreland Major League

SAV-LA-MAR, Westmoreland — Straths FC could take over the lead in Zone Two of the Westmoreland Football Association Charlie’s JB Rum/Dujon’s Construction/Captain’s Bakery and Grill Major League today with a win over George’s Plain United at Bay Road.

Straths FC and Forever Sports are tied on eight points at the top of the zone, with George’s Plain one point back in third place and could make it a three-way tie for the lead with a win.

Also today, former champions Frome FC will be seeking two wins in three days when they take on Negril FC at Frome Sports Grounds.

On Tuesday, Frome FC blanked Russia FC 3-0 thanks to a brace from Rajay Tingling, who scored in the 31st and 49th minutes, and the other by Rinaldo Rankine who scored in the 88th minute.
