Cops find gun in old fridge in Spanish Town

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the St Catherine North Police Division seized one firearm and two rounds of ammunition on St Johns Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Thursday.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that between noon and 1:30 pm, a team of officers was on an operation in the area when a yard was searched and the weapon — one Smith and Wesson Springfield pistol — along with ammunition found in an old refrigerator.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Investigations continue.
