Former PAJ head now communications boss for Opposition leader
KINGSTON, Jamaica — OBSERVER ONLINE understands that former managing editor of the Gleaner newspaper and Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) president, Jenni Campbell, is to be announced shortly as the new communications director at the office of Leader of the Opposition, Dr Peter Phillips.
Campbell is expected to succeed former Senator and current CaPRI co-director, Imani Duncan, who has been promoted to Chief of Staff of the Opposition Leaders office at West King’s House Road, Kingston.
Campbell served two terms as PAJ president, between 2010 and 2014, while being the managing editor of the Gleaner.
Duncan was the losing candidate for the People’s National Party (PNP) in East Rural St Andrew in 2016, which was won by Juliet Holness, wife of Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
The changes have been made commensurate with the appointment of Dr Peter Phillips as the new Leader of the Opposition and leader of the People’s National Party (PNP).
