Baptist Union hails Rev Clemmings
Dear Editor,
The leadership and members of the Jamaica Baptist Union (JBU) are very grateful to Rev Dr Prince Fitz-Albert Clemmings who served as an exceptional “man of the cloth” for over 50 years in various circuits of the Baptist churches across Jamaica.
Rev Clemmings, with God’s guidance, launched his illustrious career as a minister of religion after he was ordained to the ministry on August 1, 1966 at Ginger Ridge Baptist Church in St Catherine, in the community where he grew up.
After his full-time ministry ended in 2004 he was asked by the JBU to moderate in a number of circuits of Baptist churches, including the Montego Westgate Hills Church in St James, up to February 2016, giving yeoman Christian stewardship service uplifting Western Jamaica.
Rev Clemmings gave dedicated service as chairman of the JBU Missions and Evangelism Committee while at the same tune serving his community as a justice of the peace.
Indeed, Rev Dr Clemmings distinguished himself in the Christian ministry and along with his family must be commended for his faithful and reliable service to mankind.
