Professor Meets Jah9 album has hit the number two position on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart.“For years, I have been a fan of Mad Professor and when I finally got to meet him I was even more impressed with him as a human being. The chemistry we had worked right away. It was only natural that I had him do a dub of my album. I really wanted him to do a dub of the first one as well, but because I am the one who produced this one, I had more control. It was definitely one of the priorities for me to have Mad Professor interpret the productions on this album. I am very pleased that the album went to number two on the Billboard (charts) in its first week. It was Record Store Week and for an album that is released exclusively on vinyl, I think that is a credit to the people who did the marketing as well as the product itself… so I can’t help but feel good,” she told

The remixed version, which features Chronixx, can be accessed on all musical platformsBy the end of this month, Jah9 returns to North America along with her band for her Unafraid tour with a number of spot gigs and festivals before crossing the Atlantic for the plethora of summer reggae festivals on that continent.Yoga practice forms a huge part of her daily routine, and Jah9 will be incorporating this ancient form of physical exercise and meditation in her performances at a number of stops in what is being called ‘yoga on dub’.“The mission continues as we prepare to return to the US for the Unafraid Tour: Jah9 Live with the Dub Treatment, and a few select Yoga on Dub sessions. Anticipation swells our hearts as we await the opportunity to connect once again with kings and queens in the US,” she said.The stops in North America commence on May 28 in Monterrey, followed by performances in Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Nevada City, Mount Shasta and Garberville, all California in the US. By June 8, she and her team move to Oregon, followed by a performance in Seattle, Washington. It is then off to Canada for perfomances in Vancouver on June 13 and the Victoria Reggae and Ska Festival in British Columbia on June 13.Jah9 pops into Jamaica for a performance at the Kingston Yoga Festival on June 26 and 27 before heading to Europe.She starts at Roskilde Festival in Denmark on June 29, then moves to Summerjam in Germany on June 30 and the Vitrolles Sun Fest in France. She follows with shows in Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom, which round out the tour in Europe.
