90s hits reigned at Yesterday
The 1990s has been heralded by most music enthusiasts as the best decade of music. The large number of patrons who converged on the grounds of the Mas Camp last Saturday for Yesterday, showed their appreciation as hits from that decade reigned supreme.
Sponsored by Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum, the event saw the likes of DJ Marvin of
Kool 97 FM and DJ Krazy Dean spinning the hits while taking patrons on a musical voyage.Whipping up a variety of musical genres including hip hop, dancehall, reggae, soca and dance music, the DJs worked feverishly in their bid to keep the patrons entertained.Held four times annually, Yesterday has emerged as one of the must-attend parties on the entertainment calendar.Promoter Gyete Ghartey of GLK Entertainment attributed the event’s continued success to the patrons.“We talk to patrons to get feedback about what they like and which DJs they want to hear. We are always seeking ways to make the party experience better for our patrons,” said Ghartey. The next Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Yesterday Best of the 90s is scheduled for August 5 at the Mas Camp.– Kevin Jackson
