UDC puts Fairy Hill lots up for sale
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is putting nine service lots in the picturesque Fairy Hill, Portland area up for sale.
The corporation in a release today says that the properties will be sold on a “first come, first serve basis until all lots on offer are sold”. Deadline for applications is Thursday, June 1.The lots, which include eight residential and one commercial property range in costs from J$2.5 million to J$4.9 million and vary in size from just over 311 square metres in one instance, to over 1,839 square metres in another.The UDC says the lots are being sold as part of its divestment programme. Application forms are available at its 12 Ocean Boulevard head office in the Corporate Area or on the UDCC’s website at www.udcja.com/investments-opportunities.In the meantime, applicants with completed application forms are being required to also submit a completed monetary offer form for the acquisition of the service lot and an initial deposit of ten per cent of the purchase price of the lot by manager’s cheque.In addition, interested individuals are expected to submit copies of their Tax Registration Number, a valid identification in the form of a passport, national identification card or a driver’s license, as well as documentation demonstrating the applicant’s ability to complete the purchase from a licensed financial institution.The UDC manages the Fairy Hill property which covers some 110.69 hectares of land.
