Come & Get it

The mounting buzz reached a satisfying climax at Devon House last Thursday evening. The Caribbean’s premier food event, The Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards , returned with much fanfare for its 19th iteration, and delivered a full-throttle blast to the culinary senses of the well-heeled contingent who gathered to celebrate the finest of The Rock’s gastronomy scene.

Twenty-four coveted awards — headlined by Chairman’s Awardee and chef/Patron Karl Hart and Lifetime Achievement Awardee Nestlé Jamaica Limited – were up for grabs at the formal proceedings, seamlessly guided by Food Awards Chair Novia McDonald-Whyte, with winners a diverse mix of eateries representing ‘best-Jamaican’, ‘best ethnic’, ‘best café’, ‘best kept secret’, ‘best vegetarian’, and ‘best food product for 2017’, among the decorated list of those walking away with bragging rights.Ceremonial business handled, a potent who’s who of corporate boldfaces, influencers, socialites, and of course, the food and beverage industry’s most significant players, were ushered to the south lawns of Devon House to indulge their eager appetites at the ostentatious spread of 63-exhibitor showcase of eats and sips.SO invites you to the ultimate social epicentre — the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards!
