#RacersGrandPrix: America’s Nelvis pips Williams to take 100mH win
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American Sharika Nelvis continues to round into form, as she topped the Powerade-sponsored women’s 100m hurdles at the second staging of the JN Bank Racers Grand Prix currently ongoing at the National Stadium.
Nelvis, running from lane six came with a late burst to win on the line in a season’s best time of 12.78 seconds in a negative 1.4 metres per second wind speed.
She pipped Jamaica’s defending World Champion Danielle Williams (12.81s) on the line, while Australian world and Olympic champion Sally Pearson, who led convincingly from the start, faded into third in 12.83s.
