Maxine Duncan upbeat about gigs
JAMAICAN-BORN, New York-based gospel singer Maxine Duncan is upbeat ahead of her upcoming gigs across sections of the island.
“I’m really looking forward to this tour. I will be performing at the Faith Assembly Ministry in Mandeville on Saturday, August 12; on the 19th I will be at the Restoration Ministry in Kingston; then the 26th will see me performing at the Calvary Evangelistic Church of God in Osbourne Store, Clarendon,” Duncan told the Jamaica Observer.
“I want the people to come out to these events and receive the message of the Lord as I minister to them through my music. I’m confident that the Holy Ghost is going to show up and show off in a very big way; it will be a life-changing experience,” she continued.
She said she has not performed locally since 2014.
Duncan was born and raised in Ewarton, St Catherine. She launched her recording career in 2000 with the release of her debut album Greatest Love & Friend (Jesus), shortly after migrating to the United States.
Since then, she has released five other albums: I Am Committed (to Jesus) which was released in 2011; Safe From the Storm (2012); Trust In the Lord (2013); Christmas with Maxine Duncan (2014); and Christian Battalion (2016).
All of her albums were produced by New York-based artiste/producer Ed Robinson, except for Christian Battalion which was produced by Gifton Smith.
