BGLC – black, green and gold best dressed competition
As part of its Emancipation Day (August 1) race day, the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) will be conducting a best dressed competition featuring Jamaica’s national colours — the black, green and gold.
“This year is a milestone year for Jamaica as we celebrate Jamaica 55 and we have adopted this as a theme for the day’s activities. We want to see the punters coming out dressed in their best Jamaica 55 outfit.
“This year we will have a best dressed competition with prizes for five ladies and five gentlemen who show off the vibes in their black, green, and gold Jamaica 55 outfits,” chairman of the BGLC, Clovis Metcalfe, announced Tuesday last.
