Large turnout in thanksgiving for Winston Green
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Scores of mourners are now gathered inside St Andrew Parish Church for the thanksgiving service for late People’s National Party (PNP) Member of Parliament Dr Winston Green.
Green, 58, died on his way to hospital after collapsing at his St Andrew home on August 14.
A long-standing member of the PNP, Green served as MP for St Mary South Eastern. At the time of his death he was a year-and-a-half into his second term.
Several parliamentarians are among those in attendance as supporters of the late MP stream into the packed church.
The service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
