Walker muscles to Mr Jamaica Bodybuilding title

Dwayne Walker won the overall Mr Jamaica Bodybuilding title for the second time to highlight the 58th exposè of the Jamaica Bodybuilding and Fitness Association’s National Championships and Fitness Expo held at the University of Technology (UTech) Auditorium last Saturday.

Walker, representing Fitness Express, earlier took the light heavyweight section, before moving on to the podium for a second time to take the overall Mr Jamaica Bodybuilding title in the hotly contested field of 12 supremely conditioned athletes.

A well-respected athlete, whether he appears on the local or regional stage, Walker’s supreme conditioning and electrifying appearance always stands out, and it once again stood out above and beyond all beacons.

In the other top sections of the Bodybuilding and Fitness Expo, Kemoy Brown, a first-time entrant representing Iberostar was also magnificent in taking the Mr Jamaica Physique Overall title, while Christine Gonzales from Spartan Health Club, another first-time entrant, outshone her bristling bevy of competitors to become a popular Miss Jamaica Bikini Fitness.

Christopher Chung representing the More Fitness Gym took the Mr Novice title, with second going to Rajae Grandison from Next Level Fitness Gym, while Trey Bailey from Xpress Gym was third.

Cecil Beacon representing, Iron Beach Gym, took the Masters Bodybuilding Title with Clayton Powell from Maxx Fitness taking second place with Shaun Davis representing Greg’s Extreme Fitness finishing third.

Grandison, later took the Junior Section, while Anthony Brown from Classis Bodybuilding Gym was second and John Mark Reid representing Express Fitness was third.

Categories

Lightweight:

1 Cecil Beacon, 2 Christopher Chung and 3 Shaun Davis. 

Middleweight:

1 Richard Scothman Express Fitness took this section with Damian Dawson representing NCB Wellness Centre second with Daniel Chisholm of Express Fitness finishing third.

Heavyweight:

Johnoi Vaughn representing Fit Farm won the Heavyweight Division with Anthony Brown of Classic Body Fitness second and Samuel Bailey of Velocity Wellness Centre

Bikini Master:

Nadine Warner representing Spartan won the Division with 2 Yvonne Kirlew of Eden Garden Wellness Gym second and Nicola Marie third representing Phoenix Fitness.

Body Fitness Masters:

Marlene Carr winner

Women’s Physique:

Davina Barrett representing Vault Fitness and Spa won the Division with Thaj Patterson of Jacquie-Smith Fisher Fitness fitness second and Candice Sommerville of Fit Farm third.

Women’s Body Fitness:

Debbie Hall won the Section representing Spartan Health Club, Deidre Lewis and Kristen McGregor from Fitness Farm finishing second and third, respectively.

Bikini Short Class:

Kimberly Brown topped the division representing Spartan Health Club while April Marshall of Fit Farm placed second and Petal Russell from Iberostar Gym finished third.

Bikini Short Class:

Christina Gonzalez finished first representing Spartan Health Club while Avernell Modest representing Fit Farm coming in second as Taneisha Mitchell-Gayle captured third place representing ATL Gym.

Muscular Men’s Physique:

Brandt Fuller representing Spartan Health Club won the Division from Ricardo Daniels representing Fitness Zone.

Men’s Physique Short Class:

Daniel Willis took the event as a member of Classic Body Fitness, Dennis Davis was second representing Spartan Health Club while Geovanni Morgan took third place representing Express Fitness.

Men’s Physique Medium Class:

Kemoy Brown and Jared McLean representing Iberostar were first and second respectively while Lenroy Morrison representing Fit Farm came in third.

Men’s Physique Tall Man Class:

Andre Brown won this Division representing Express Fitness while Damian Moodie representing Fitness Zone was second with Ranique Brown from Work That Body Gym taking third place.
