PNP disassociates itself from ZOSO social media flyer
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party (PNP) is seeking to disassociate the party from a flyer being circulated on social media promoting the telephone number established by the PNP to report Zones of Special Operations abuses.
“We would never compromise the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and ourselves in such a way,” the PNP said in a statement last night, adding that the flyer was an act of mischief.
The flyer bears the image of the Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips, the JCF logo, the Jamaica coat-of-arms and the PNP logo.
The Zones of Special Operations (Special Security and Community Development Measures) was on Friday activated by Prime Minister Andrew Holness with the Mount Salem and its environs in St James declared the first zone for 60 days.
