Igloo Atlanta was a hit
Promoters of the recently concluded Igloo party series held in Lithonia, Atlanta, are upbeat about the event’s success.
The occasion — promoted by RepJA (Omar Anthony and Prince Graham) and Igloonation — saw over 6,000 patrons in attendance.
“The turnout was great. It was the largest staging for us to date,” Anthony told the Jamaica Observer.
Igloo was first held in Atlanta in May 2015. It is promoted twice annually.
“The party continues to grow with each staging. We had a wide variety of persons, including Caribbean nationals, Africans and Americans, in attendance. We saw a lot of persons who have never experienced Igloo before. It was just pure excitement, fun and overall; it was lit,” said Anthony.
Music was provided courtesy of Atlanta’s top disc jock Mixmaster David, Juggla Experience, Werc Crew, and Jamaica’s Coppershot.
The co-promoter spoke about the growth of the event.
“The party has evolved in many ways. Our production has increased, venue size to accommodate the growth, the crowd has grown tremendously with each staging, and our promotion has also gotten more creative,” he added.
Among the celebrities who were in attendance were American pop music duo R City, Chris Brown’s DJ Babey Drew, and Akon’s DJ Benny D.
