Gov’t moves to improve access to St Mary
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness is to give an update on infrastructural works being undertaken in St Mary and outline future plans for the parish at a press conference and contract signing ceremony tomorrow.
The Government is moving to improve the economic prospects of the parish and as such, has embarked on the programme of works to develop the parish’s infrastructure.
According to an advisory from the National Works Agency (NWA) last evening, among the projects undertaken in recent times are river training works, drainage improvement and road rehabilitation.
The agency said the Government intends, over the next few years, to significantly improve access through and to St Mary.
The ceremony will be held at the Banquet Hall at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
