M16, shotguns among 5 weapons seized in Cambridge
ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police are reporting the seizure of five guns in Cambridge, St James.
According to reports from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), One M16, two shotguns and two 9mm pistols and several rounds of ammunition were seized.
CCU was unable to provide further information.
The seizure comes after lawmen in another part of the parish called Salt Spring found 29 rounds of ammunition in the roof of an unoccupied board and zinc structure Tuesday evening.
CCU reported that a joint team was on operation in the area when they searched the structure.
No arrests were made in connection with this incident.
Investigations continue.
