Parliament to host delegation from UK
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Parliament will host a five-member delegation from the United Kingdom Parliament next week, which forms part of bilateral exchanges between the two nations.
The delegation will be in the island between September 17 and 22.
A release from the House of Parliament today said that while in Jamaica, the UK parliamentarians will have meetings with local parliamentarians, other government officials, private sector representatives and community groups.
During the week, the delegation will visit the Randolph Lopez School of Hope, the Wigton Wind Farm in Manchester and a Citizen Security and Justice Programme (CSJP) project, among others.
Last September, a nine-member delegation from the Jamaican Parliament visited the United Kingdom as guests of their Parliament.
