Wright declines appointment to new FLA Board
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of National Security this morning announced that a young investment banker is being considered in place of former Chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA), Dennis Wright, who has declined the appointment to the new board.
In a release today, Security Minister Robert Montague said that the name of the banker has been submitted for security vetting. The minister also expressed appreciation to Wright for the leadership he provided as chairman.
He said the new board will provide a balance of youth, experience and gender and noted that the members are a broad representative of the Jamaican society.
Wright also thanked Montague for his consideration, and extended best wishes to the new board, and to the FLA.
