Reggae singer Semojrah Naki is currently promoting his latest EP called Warriors Don’t Cry . Since its official release in March of this year, the entertainer said he has been getting positive feedback from the listeners.

“The EP is soothing and that is what the world is hungry for. Jamaica is rocked by crime and violence and if we continue to do the whole heap a ‘bad man’ tunes, that will encourage the criminals. So far, everyone that listens is just loving the message in each track as they are empowering,” he told Jamaica Observer.

In addition to the title track, the other singles include Jah Never Let Us Down, Life Struggles, and Rastaman She Want.

“I just want it to continue touching the hearts of people. If my music have a positive effect on just one person I am satisfied. In addition to that, I hope the EP will broaden my fan base,” hesaid.

Warriors Don’t Cry is produced by Is Royal Records.

Semojrah Naki (given name Jefferey Wayne Donald) was born in Kingston but raised in Clarendon. He later returned to Kingston during his adolescent years.

“It was during my years at Jamaica College that I knew I wanted to be an entertainer and I was privileged enough to have the likes of Michigan, Chaka Demus, and The Cotton Pikkers as inspiration,” he said.

In 1999 he embraced the Rastafarian faith.

In addition to his EP, Semojrah Naki is also promoting another single called Dream Big, released on September 22.
