Labourites jubilant in Annotto Bay
ST MARY, Jamaica — The bells are ringing and music blaring as scores of jubilant Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporters dance through the streets of Annotto Bay in St Mary South East, ahead of the expected nomination of party candidate Dr Norman Dunn.
The activities have slowed traffic in the town square where Labourites, some in overburdened vehicles, have stopped to build momentum ahead of their candidate’s arrival.
Several party bigwigs have arrived in the area, amidst strong police presence, among them West Portland Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz, Speaker of the House Pearnel Charles and party Chairman Robert Montague.
Dunn was scheduled to be nominated at 10:00 am here at St Theresa Catholic Church, but has not yet arrived.
More information later.
