No PNP squabble in St Andrew South West, Phillips insists
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Leader of the Opposition Dr Peter Phillips today rubbished claims made by Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Chairman Robert Montague of a squabble in the People’s National Party (PNP) stronghold of St Andrew South West.
Last Saturday, Montague told JLP supporters at Gibbs Hill in St Mary that he got word of a PNP squabble in the constituency.
Montague, who did not disclose what the squabble was about, said he got a call that there was problem in the constituency.
Dr Phillips responded to the claims this morning following the nomination of chairman for the St Andrew Southern constituency Mark Golding at St Luke’s Anglican Church in Cross Roads.
“Minister Montague doesn’t know a lot of things even in relation to the things that he should know, he doesn’t know and he definitely doesn’t know about this constituency,” Phillips said.
