Stop using Caymanas cane-field as roadway, police urge motorists
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are urging motorists to desist from using sections of the cane-field along the Mandela Highway as a thoroughfare to avoid traffic.
In a series of tweets a short while ago, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) explained that oftentimes motorists get stuck while using the Caymanas cane-field, then make calls for assistance to the police who are not in a position to help.
According to the JCF, given their limited resources they are unable to assist motorists who use that route illegally and urged that motorist use the main roadway at all times.
