Doreen Dyer, the 44-year-old mother who was seen beating her daughter with a machete in a video circulating on social media, is to face the St Thomas Parish Court tomorrow.Dyer was charged last week with cruelty to a child.
8. Green urges students to use social media responsibly
State Minister in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, Floyd Green, says the Ministry of Education has partnered with manufacturing and distribution company, Wisynco, on a new island wide campaign, aimed at encouraging responsible use of social media.
9. Motorists who use Mandela Highway urged to travel alternate routes
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists who use the Mandela Highway to travel to parishes west of Kingston, such as Clarendon and St Catherine, to use alternative routes where possible in order to reduce their travel time.
