Sri Lanka A 202-7 v Windies A at Tea
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Sri Lanka A captain Dhananjaya Da Silva scored a classy century(104) but West Indies A held a strong upper hand at tea on the third day of the first four-day Test at the Trelawny multi-purpose Stadium here Friday.
Scores: West Indies A 364-8 declared; Sri Lanka A 202-7. Shehan Jayasuriya, 11, and Malinda Pushpakumara, 11, were unbeaten at the break.
Resuming after Lunch at 86-3, Sri Lanka lost four wickets for an additional 116 runs. The 26 year-old Da Silva, who has played ten Tests with an average of 38, hit three sixes and ten fours in his 143-ball knock before falling to wrist-spinner Damion Jacobs. The latter troubled all the batsmen with his variations.
At tea, Jacobs had taken 2-31, fast bowler Keon Joseph 2-38, left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell 2-28 and off spinner Rahkeem Cornwall 1-68.
