Weekly Round-up: JUTC overstaffed… Mobay gangster killed… US out of World Cup
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The state-run Jamaica Urban Transit Company on Wednesday disclosed that it is currently overstaffed by 300 workers who are costing taxpayers an additional 25 million each month.
The bus company also disclosed that237 of its buses have been attacked since 2013, with 81 since the start of this year.
That same day, an alleged Montego Bay based gangster, identified as Paul Jay Lewis otherwise called ‘Jay’ was killed during a shootout with police in Old Harbour, St Catherine.
In sport, Trinidad and Tobago stunned the United States 2-1 on Tuesday night to put them out of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
