10 cops to submit statements on St Catherine man’s killing to INDECOM
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says it has launched an investigation into the death of an unidentified man last Friday, during police operations in Waterloo, St Catherine.
According to INDECOM, 10 police officers have been served with notices to furnish the commission with statements tomorrow.
INDECOM also stated that three of the 10 officers will be interviewed, under oath, under Section 21 of the INDECOM Act which states that INDECOM may at any time require any member of the security forces who, in its opinion is able to give assistance in relation to an investigation to furnish a statement; document; or anything in connection with the investigation that may be in the possession or under the control of the person.
