ONLINE READERS COMMENT: PNP failed the election exam
Dear editor,
First you select a total political novice to run in a buy-election. Then you find out at the last minute that he is not a Jamaican and wait for the other party to reveal it and “run wid it”.
Then you complain about long-overdue work on the Junction Road, which half the island uses.
Then, preaching discredited 1970s democratic socialism, you descent on rural folks in a helicopter (Okay, give him credit, he forgot the James Bond tuxedo).
Then with the other party’s pollster making the rounds you declare your impending disaster is going to be a referendum on the Andrew Holness government.
After winning a seat 18 months ago by five votes you now lose it by 900 plus.
Most of us mortals have had our share of failures and successes in life.
But exactly how do you manage to sit an exam, write it, answer all the questions …and get zero out of 100?
Wow! It takes one’s breath away.
