3. Pedestrian bridge at Wolmers Girls’ reopens after $8.7-m repair

4. Vaz in Germany for Climate Change meeting

Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Daryl Vaz, left the island yesterday, for Bonn, Germany where he will lead the Jamaican Delegation at the 23rd Conference of Parties (COP 23) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 5. UKHO conducts seabed mapping in Jamaica to support blue economy

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has commissioned survey vessels to the waters of Jamaica as part of the UK’s Commonwealth Marine Economies (CME) Programme. Full story here

6. Two Canadian women fined $2.5m, sentenced to 3 years for cocaine

Two Canadian women, who were held with cocaine at the Sangster International Airport last year, were fined $2.5 million and sentenced to three years in prison when they appeared in the St James Parish Court. Full story here

7. US approves first pill with digital tracking device

US regulators have approved the first pill that contains a digital tracking sensor to alert doctors and caregivers as to whether a patient is taking a medication as scheduled. Full story here

8. Ruling in Ninjaman murder trial expected this week

Dancehall artiste Ninjaman will later this week know his fate as prosecutors yesterday began closing arguments in the murder trial for the entertainer and his two co-accused. Full story here

9. Police Federation calls emergency meeting over Government’s wage offer

As trouble brews between the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the government, the Police Federation has called an emergency meeting with representatives from each division, Thursday at the National Police College of Jamaica. Full story here

10. St James Municipal Corporation plans $20-m road programme

The St James Municipal Corporation plans to spend approximately $20 million on a major road rehabilitation programme across the parish within the next five weeks. Full story here
