IamStylezMusic inks Monster deal

IamStylezMusic recently inked two major career-boosting deals. He is now the official face of Monster Products in the Caribbean. The announcement was made last week.

The Portmore-based artiste explained how it all came together.

“I was on the west coast leg of my tour back in September and had a show in Los Angeles at a nightclub called The Story on Hollywood Blvd. I decided to go get an outfit for the show and the store that I went into, the manager assisted me with my outfit. She asked me what was I shopping for, typical conversation for a rep to engage their customer but when I told her that I had a concert she started telling me that she was transitioning to a new position at Monster Products in the Lifestyle Division. So I invited her to my concert VIP style. She came, saw a full house, loved the concert and the rest was history,” said IamStylezMusic .

“I’m very happy about this accomplishment because my vision is coming to life, and it’s a great feeling to imagine something and watch it all come to life. It also shows that hard and smart work pays off in due time,” he continued.

Meanwhile, his EDM-themed song Little More (produced by EDM DJs Putz Grillaz) has been licensed for use in Latin America and Spanish-speaking territories by Zumba.

Zumba is an exercise fitness programme and is a trademark owned by Zumba Fitness, LLC. Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. Approximately 15 million people take weekly classes in over 200,000 locations across 180 countries.

“This is a major deal as Zumba is a Latin-driven brand. It’s so funny how music works because I have been working to tap into that market for quite some time now, but it’s funny how this came about. It’s definitely a great look,” said IamStylezMusic.

He spoke about the opportunities the Zumba exposure could afford.

“Well, I have to start practise speaking Spanish because the flood gates are endless and from my experience, when other cultures embrace you they appreciate if you do the same by at least understanding their lingo. The opportunities are endless, and I intend to capitalise on them,” he said.

IamStylezMusic attended the Latin Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, last Thursday. He said he used the opportunity to network and make valuable connections within the music community.

“I met some new friends and saw familiar faces like my boy Steve Aioki, French Montana, J Ballin and of course my bro Nasri from Magic. All in all, it was a great feeling to represent my country and genre on such a major platform. Back in October, I was also invited to an African awards show called AFRIMMA, and that was also a huge and great experience. It’s like I’m being prepped for the big leagues, and most of my life I’ve always been tested with a little bit of my reward before it comes,” he shared.

IamStylezMusic recently topped the Billboard Reggae album chart for six non-consecutive weeks with his debut album Back to My Roots.
