G-Loc eyes stardom
Newcomer G-Loc is ready to soar. He is set to take flight with two newly released tracks; Suffer and Come Over.
Both songs are produced by Konsequence Muzik.
“The songs are inspired by personal experiences and things that I have seen in my surroundings. They are an expression of situations that I have been through,” said G-Loc.
Describing his music as relaxing to the mind, a play on the emotions, and fun, G-Loc has been knocking on the doors of stardom since the early 2000s.
“I bring my own style and expression in music for all to understand. My songs are as real as they come,” he said.
Given name Andre Williams, G-Loc is a resident of Portmore, St Catherine. After completing high school, he decided that music was his true calling. He is a founding member of the group Frass Squad, which also comprises Nico Flair and Tarique.
In 2001 after winning a talent competition, the group performed at Fully Loaded at Fort Clarence beach. After the other members migrated to the United States, G-Loc decided to pursue a solo career.
He quickly moved to establish himself as one of the front-runners in the new wave of acts to emerge from Portmore. Through his performances and mix tapes, he has established a reputation for his lyrical prowess.
Some of G-Loc’s songs include War Dem Waa Fi Show Mi, Step It, Gwaan Wine, 9 to 5, and Bend Down Gal featuring Nuclear.
