High turbidity disrupts water supply in St Catherine, St Mary
KINGSTON, Jamaica —The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that high turbidity levels have forced the shutdown of the Guy’s Hill Treatment Plant in St Catherine as well as the White River facility in St Mary.
As a result a number of communities served by the plants will experience disruptions in their regular water supply.
Areas affected:
St Catherine: Race Course, Jeffery Town, Decoy, Ragsville, Moreland, Redwood, Middlesex, Guys Hill, Windsor Castle, Barnett/Benbow and Bonnett
St Mary: Endeavour, Cascade, Spring Valley, St Mary Country Club, parts of Balmoral, Charles Town, Three Hills, Rock Cottage, Ross Common, Grass Land and Rose Street.
