Waterford police investigating suspected hit and run
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The Waterford police in St Catherine are now investigating a suspected hit and run following the discovery of a woman’s body on George Lee Boulevard this morning.
The woman, who is unidentified, was clad in a red blouse, jeans jacket, red and black tights and black slippers.
The police say she appears to be in her forties.
Reports from the Waterford police are that about 12:30 am a passerby saw the body lying on the roadway and called them.
Police officers, who responded and processed the crime scene, said the body has injuries that are consistent with those suffered by persons hit by motor vehicles and they suspect the woman may be the victim of a hit and run.
They are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist them to contact 988-1763, Crime Stop at 311, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
