58-y-o cyclist killed in hit and run
ST ANN, Jamaica — A 58-year-old man is dead and his grandson left nursing injuries after they were hit by a motorcar along the Old Folly main road in Discovery Bay, St Ann early this morning.
According to police reports, officers were on patrol in the area about 5:40 am when they received reports that a body was seen along the roadway. The lawmen said when they went to investigate, they also found a damaged pedal cycle.
Investigations revealed that Webb, along with his grandson, were riding along the road when they were hit by a motorcar which did not stop. They were taken to hospital where Webb was pronounced dead; the boy was treated and released.
