Pollard, Beaton out of upcoming T20 series
ST JOHN’S, Antigua — The Selection Panel of Cricket West Indies today announced changes to the West Indies squad for the three-match T20 International series on the tour of New Zealand.
According to a release from Cricket West Indies (CWI), these changes are due to injury and unavailability.
“Left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cotterell will replace pacer Ronsford Beaton, who has been forced to return home with a side strain,” informed CWI.
“Left-handed batsman Shimron Hetmyer will replace all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who is unavailable due to personal reasons.”
CWI said the series is scheduled to start on Friday at Saxton Oval in Nelson, New Zealand. First ball is 3:00 pm (10:00 pm Thursday Eastern Caribbean/9:00 pm Thursday Jamaica).
