UDC announces parking arrangements for 2017 fireworks
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) has announced that in an effort to facilitate some of the expected 300,000 patrons at its ‘Fireworks on the Waterfront’ along the Ocean Boulevard in downtown Kingston on Sunday, several of its car parks along with those of other stakeholders are to be used during the event.
The public can access the following parking facilities on December 31 at a cost of $300:
• Bank of Jamaica car park, entrance on East Street
• Fisheries car park, entrance on Port Royal Street
• Downtown Kingston Transport Centre, entrance on Water Lane
• Kingston Craft Market car park
• Harbour Street car park
• West Street car park
• Scotia car park # 2
The UDC said provisions have also been made for premium-parking services at the JCC multi-storey car park at a cost of $500.
Activities associated with the UDC’s Fireworks on the Waterfront are slated to begin at 3:00pm with the Kiddies and Vending Village and continue into the evening with the street party beginning at 6:00 pm and the fireworks display at midnight.

The UDC will celebrate 50 years of making development happen in Jamaica on March 21, 2018.
