Sticky Whine to get Latin flavour
Pamputtae’s Sticky Whine is about to get a makeover, courtesy of Mexican reggae artiste Jah Fabio.
The female deejay said Jah Fabio reached out to her through a friend and will be in the island this month to work on the project.
“I can’t say just yet when the remix will be officially released but he’s gonna come to Jamaica this month and we do the video for the song so people can just watch out for that,” Pamputtae told the Jamaica Observer.
She said the new remix will further help her brand in the Latin market.
“Dem a go get fi know Pamputtae, memba dem love dancehall music so it’s gonna be a whole thing. I’m going there in March and, yuh done know, my vibes, plus mi songs bad already, so it a go buss inna the Latin market fi this year,” she said.
Sticky Whine was released in July 2016 by Good Youth Productions and has been a staple in the dancehall. In December, the track was remixed and given a soca flavour.
Pamputtae said the song came after she saw the dance move created by Pretty Pretty.
“At first, some people never knew who sing it, but everybody love it and a dance to it. People never see me for a while and nuff people just a find out seh me did have a child. Dem see me lose weight and a wonder if me do surgery and all sorts of things. It’s just a new thing for me; me kinda thick yah now, so we have a new image and we just a do the work,” said Pamputtae, who recently returned from a Canadian tour.
She is currently promoting several projects, including Come Out and Bounce Suh, featuring dancer Danii Boo.
