Pay exact or round up payments to benefit from $250 incentive, explains NWC
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC), in its response to complaints from customers that they are not receiving the $250 incentive for paying their bills early, today explained that the benefit is only applicable when the bill is paid in full and on time.
NWC explained that the full amount is paying exactly what is on the bill (including cents) or rounding up the payment to the next dollar.
The NWC also pointed out that while the sum being left unpaid may appear small for one month, customers are reminded that they stand to lose up to $3,000 over a one-year period if they continue to round down.
“Customers are therefore encouraged to exercise vigilance, pay on time and in full and get the reward….don’t lose it.”
