Driver, passenger arrested after St James cops find 2 guns in motorcar
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Two men were yesterday arrested in Anchovy, St James after police found two firearms in the motor vehicle they were travelling in.
The firearms seized are one Glock pistol with a magazine containing ten 9mm cartridges and another 9mm pistol containing three 9mm cartridges.
Reports are that a patrol team was conducting spot checks in the area when, about 3:00 pm, they signalled the driver of a white Toyota Axio motorcar to stop. The driver complied and he along with a male passenger and the vehicle were searched and the firearms and ammunition found.
Both men were taken into custody, however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
