Weather affects police phone lines in St Mary, Portland
PORTLAND, Jamaica — The Jamaica Constabulary Force has advised that phone lines at the police station in Port Maria, Islington and Port Antonio are down as a result of the inclement weather.
The stations may be contacted via these alternative numbers: Port Maria — 994-2452; Islington — 783-2998; and Port Antonio — 322-9368.
Additionally, pedestrians and motorists are urged to proceed with caution when traversing the following routes:

[naviga:li]Bull Point main road in St Ann and Blue Berry main road in Port Antonio, which have been reduced to a single lane; and[/naviga:li]
[naviga:li]Georgia main road in St Mary, a section of which is currently unstable as a result of sinking. [/naviga:li]

The Breastwork, Bound Brook and West Street main roads in Port Antonio, Portland are impassable due to heavy showers and rising waters.
