Hezron shows love for MoBay
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Despite the high levels of crime and violence in sections of Montego Bay, St James, Montegonian recording artiste Hezron is still in love with the resort city.
His latest album, The Life I Live ( Soulful Salvation), features a catchy song entitled MoBay, in which the former Cornwall College student decries the current spate of murders in the city and expresses hope for better days.
“I am from Montego Bay and I love this city so much that I have to sing about it. I remember the good old days while attending Cornwall College and roaming the streets going to and from school,” Hezron told the Jamaica Observer West.
Hezron, who hails from the Moyhall community, received his early education at Barracks Road Primary School before furthering his education at Cornwall College and Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College in St James.
Recently the recording artiste has been getting a lot of international recognition for his classy songs.
His songs to date include Taxi Driver, Forever And Always, Warrior Heaven, Independent People, Can’t Tek The Pressure, and Two Place — a combination with Jamaican international recording artiste Shaggy.
Hezron has toured several countries across the globe, including in Europe and the USA, and has performed locally at a number of events.
