Three shot dead in St Catherine, Kingston yesterday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting the killing of three men in separate incidents across the Corporate Area and St Catherine yesterday.
In the first incident, Lamar Thompson, 31, unemployed of 11 Mulgrave Lane, Kingston, was shot dead by unknown assailants in his community while standing along a roadway.
In the second incident, a man identified as Paul Morgan, otherwise called ‘Christian’ from Bernard Lodge and Riversdale in St Catherine was fatally shot by unknown assailants on Bernard Lodge Farm, St Catherine about 12:30 pm.
Explosions were reportedly heard and lawmen summoned. On their arrival, Morgan’s body was seen lying in bushes. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Then last night, 41-year-old Fitzroy Pearson, otherwise called ‘Bah’, a phone technician and liaison officer for the Peace Management Initiative of White Church Street, St Catherine was shot dead by unknown assailants on Monk Street in the parish.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that citizens heard explosions about 9:20 pm and summoned them. On arrival of the team, Pearson was seen with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Police said they are conducting investigations into all three murders.
