Cops seek assistance in identifying nine goats recovered in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica — The St Ann’s Bay police are seeking the public assistance in identifying nine goats that were recovered in a motor vehicle in Steer Town, St Ann’s Bay early this morning.
Reports are that about 4:30 am, a team was conducting a vehicular checkpoint along the St Ann’s Bay main road when they signalled a grey Toyota Fielder motorcar to stop.
The driver disobeyed and sped away but lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. Two men alighted from the vehicle and ran. The vehicle was checked and nine goats were seen inside, one dead. The motor vehicle was seized.
The police are asking anyone who have lost their animal(s) or anyone who can identify these animals to contact the St Ann’s Bay police at 972-2211, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
