High Mountain Coffee Road Race 2018 cancelled
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The 35th Staging of the High Mountain Coffee Road Race originally scheduled for today has been cancelled.
A news release said the cancellation was “due to circumstances outside the control of the host company — Jamaica Standard Products Company Ltd which produces High Mountain coffee.
“The organising committee would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all the athletes who’ve supported the event over the years and to wish them all the best for the 2018 running season.
“Thanks to our sponsors, donors and volunteers for their understanding, and those who have taken the time to call and email us to express their understanding and regret,” the release said.
It said organisers were looking forward to “continued support” for “the January 27, 2019 event”.
